The Auracle PRO features two testing modes:
Standard Mode
Standard Mode displays the nearest recognised gold carat value, including 8K, 10K, 14K, 18K, 22K and 24K (the “K” marking reflects the American format). A visual bar graph also shows how close the reading is to the selected carat standard, helping you quickly assess whether an item is slightly above or below the expected value.
Enhanced Mode
Enhanced Mode provides a more detailed reading by displaying the estimated gold content as a percentage. This allows experienced users to assess the approximate proportion of gold within an alloy rather than relying only on standard carat values.
Built for professional use, the Auracle PRO includes a large LCD display showing both instructions and results, one-touch calibration, a finer pen probe tip for testing smaller items, and a battery percentage indicator to help prevent unexpected interruptions during busy working days.

The Auracle PRO is aimed at experienced users who understand gold carat values, alloy composition and gold percentages. For those who only need straightforward carat identification, the simpler Auracle Analyser model may be more suitable.
As with all electronic gold testers, the Auracle PRO tests the surface of the item only. To achieve the best possible results, the surface should always be carefully prepared by filing away any plating or surface contamination using the supplied fine needle file before testing.
For high-carat gold, careful preparation is especially important. Thorough filing, correct calibration and repeat testing will help achieve the most consistent results.
Please note: the percentage readings in Enhanced Mode should be treated as an indication rather than a laboratory analysis. The tester is most reliable when used correctly with properly prepared samples and calibration checks.
