These Vallorbe 3-Square Escapement Files are also called 'triangular', 'three corner' or 'three quarter' files.

Details

The cross section of this file earned its name by having a shape with three sides of equal lenght which forms an equilateral triangle, with 60° angle. Useful for filing acute angles and corners as well as finishing off setting claws. Escapement files are shorter than needle files and have a square tang rather than a round tang.
