Diamond tester for distinguishing diamond from non-diamond stones

At Betts Metals, we proudly present the Diamond Experior, our latest diamond tester designed to reliably determine whether a stone is a diamond or not.

How does the diamond tester work? 

The Diamond Experior features an automatic display, eliminating the need to adjust sensitivity based on the stone size or temperature.

It has three indicator lights:

• Diamond (which also includes the manmade stone Moissanite),
• Other (not a diamond),
• and Metal (indicating that the setting was touched by accident).

Please note that this tester exclusively tests for diamonds and does not identify other stones. Moissanite, a synthetic gemstone, will also register as a diamond on this device.

The tester comes with a one-year guarantee.

The physical specifications of the Diamond Experior include dimensions of 6¼" x 1½" x ¾" (155 x 38 x 20 mm) and a weight of 80g.

The tip can test stones as small as 0.03ct (3pt), with smaller stones possible if you have good eyesight and a steady hand.

The recommended operating temperature is between 5 and 38 degrees C (41 to 100 degrees F).

The Diamond Experior has a warm-up time of about 20 seconds when switched on, a response time of about 1 second, and a warm-up time between tests of about 1 second.

The device comes with a small, neat carrying case with a stone holder slotted into a side pouch, and the battery is included.
