The hammer action engages only when light pressure is applied, this is designed to prevent unintended marring or marks and allows precise placement of the tool tip. The impact force of can be adjusted from light to full by turning the metal knurled ring whilst the is motor is off or running. The speed of the hammer action can be varied from 0 to 2,500 strokes per minute using the dial on the control box. This handpiece includes adapters, anvil points, graver holders, screwdriver and spare motor brush pair.
