Details

The Betts Metals Foredom M.BL Bench Lathe is a versatile and reliable bench polishing motor, developed for jewellers who need powerful performance in a compact workshop machine. Featuring a high-torque 1/6HP permanent magnet motor, this bench lathe runs exceptionally quietly and smoothly, making it ideal for regular bench use in jewellery workshops, studios and repair environments.

With fully variable speed control from 500 to 7,000rpm, the M.BL Bench Lathe gives you complete control over your polishing and finishing processes. Lower speeds are ideal for delicate polishing and finer work, whilst higher speeds provide the power needed for buffing, cleaning and preparing metal surfaces.

The machine is supplied with both left and right-hand precision-machined tapered spindles (A-TM-5 and A-TM-6). These allow the use of polishing buffs, mops and wheels up to 4" (101mm) in diameter. The spindles are suitable for cotton, felt and chamois buffs with shellac-hardened leather, lead or wooden centres, as well as smaller abrasive and grinding wheels.

Designed with stability in mind, the heavy cast iron base includes both mounting holes and suction cup feet, helping to keep the machine firmly secured to your workbench during use. Its compact size makes it particularly suitable for jewellers where space is limited, without compromising on power or functionality.

Additional accessories such as collet holders and wheel mandrels are also available, allowing the Betts Metals Foredom M.BL Bench Lathe to be adapted for a wide variety of workshop applications.
