This Black Oxide produces a blue to black colour on silver, silver alloys and copper. The Jentner Black Oxide is supplied ready to use, simply dip the piece in the solution or use a paint brush to apply the oxide in selected areas.

The Black Oxide colour can be lighten by pumicing or buffing until the desired shade is reached. Colouring with black oxide does not change the polish of the metal surface due to the application of thin layers.
