This PepeTools Digital Pen Plating System is custom designed and engineered for small scale precision plating of jewellery. Pen plating allows the application of precious metals such as gold and rhodium in selective areas without the need to stop off areas, which bath electroplating requires. This PepeTools Digital Pen Plating System is ideal for highlighting areas and touching up the electroplating on repairs. The compact unit has separate plastic containers that allow different coloured plating solutions to be stored separately, a new tip is recommended to avoid cross contamination in plating solutions.

Details

PepeTools Digital Pen Plating Station has a variable voltage control that allows optimum plating results achieved, this ranges from 1.2-17.3 volts (+/-.1). To perform electroplating an electrical circuit needs to be created, between the solution in the felt nip and the black lead, to ensure a good result is achieved this connection should be close to the area being plated. This plating station has two ports for pen attachments, one is supplied in this kit but an additional can be purchased to minimize cross contamination.

This PepeTools plating pen has been engineered to give the best results. The pen is ergonomically designed with a comfortable grip with a Platonized Titanium contact with machined tip seat that provides excellent electrical contact.
